From the inside out
to a life of impact.

Herndon “Sabur” Steele lost 38½ years to a crime he didn’t commit. Today he spends every day making sure the next young person never walks that road — and every returning citizen finds a way home.

Our Story

He lost nearly four decades. He’s giving what comes next to you.

In 1986, at just 21 years old, Herndon “Sabur” Steele was wrongly convicted. He spent 38½ years inside the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections — never giving up on the truth. On March 13, 2025, after proving his innocence, he walked out free.

“This isn’t about glorifying prison. It’s about what you do with your life once you decide your past won’t write your future.”
